The Garden
Project type
Jacquard Textile
Date
March 2026
Description:
The purpose for my piece is to take advantage of the straight repeat pattern process and make something dear to me, an overgrown garden. When I was young I remember growing all types of flowers and some involving trellises, and seeing how beautiful the end result was at the end of the growing season when all the different types of plants grew and intertwined with each other, I remember it was a heartwarming experience for me.
Target Market:
This jacquard textile is ideal for interior brands that prioritize material richness, intricate patterns, and narrative-driven design. These brands produce woven textiles for upholstery, decorative pillows, and soft furnishings, often targeting consumers who appreciate craftsmanship and subtle storytelling in their interiors. The layered depiction of an overgrown garden—intertwining forms, organic movement, and controlled repetition—transforms exceptionally well through jacquard construction. This technique enhances the visual complexity of the design by emphasizing texture and structure. This piece would appeal to brands that want to offer products that feel both grounded in nature and emotionally resonant. It allows end users to incorporate warmth, memory, and quiet intricacy into their living spaces.
