Description:
With this project I aim to create a tapestry that measures 40" by 50" inches and resembles a natural wonder of Bonnieux (near Lacoste) in multiple forms of weaving, such as Monks Belt, Tabby Weave, and supplemental Rya-knots.
The background will be done in Lavender yarn from Sugar and Creme, as it’s strong and provides structure for the other weaving techniques, the Rock formation itself has a white 5/2 cotton tabby weave, and a thicker grey Monks belt yarn. The vegetation will come from various other yarns ranging in structure, color and size to create further visual, and tactile appeal.
Target Market:
This product was made for interiors, and anyone who would want a visual reminder of a special place from their travels. With the design I feel that Millennials and Gen-Z would gravitate towards this design in particular.
